Come along for a guided tour of the ancient Casa Grande Ruins National Monument  covering the culture and history of a Hohokam village compound dating primarily to the A.D. 1300s. Casa Grande was the first prehistoric ruin to be protected by the United States government, and was set aside in 1892 by President Benjamin Harrison.

Not far from the ruins we will visit the St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Monastery a Greek Orthodox monastery standing in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. It was established in the summer of 1995 in the name of Saint Anthony the Great. It is home for approximately 42 monks. There is a bookstore to explore and homemade bread by the monks will be available to purchase. A dress code is required while visiting the premises.
