Colorado River Float Trip
We will take a mild float trip from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Ferry on the Colorado River, through Marble Canyon, the lead-in canyon to the majestic Grand Canyon. With the canyon walls soaring 1,000 feet above us, we will ride a motorized pontoon raft for our journey downstream on one of the most dramatic stretches of river found in the western US. Our experienced guide will tell stories of the area of soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, former inhabitants, the exploration of John Wesley Powell, and the modern-day role of the River. The trip will also include a break where we will be able to view ancient petroglyphs. Breakfast and a sack lunch are included.
Tour includes float trip, tour of John Wesley Powell Museum, lodging with breakfast at the hotel, transportation, and snacks & bottled water on the coach.
