Christmas in Texas
There is so much history in Texas that it is difficult to decide where to go and what to see. Some of the favorites that are requested time and again are Fredericksburg and San Antonio so we are heading south to visit those just in time for Christmas. Being a German town, Fredericksburg really knows how to celebrate a Fröhliche Weihnachten with the 26-foot German Christmas Pyramid & a 30-foot Community Christmas Tree, one on either side of the iconic Vereins Kirche at Marktplatz. In San Antonio, they wish you a Feliz Navidad and merrily decorate the Riverwalk. The rest of Texas brings y’all together for a gen-u-wine Merry Christmas. However you say it, we will find ourselves having a wonderful time as we visit the National Museum of the Pacific War and the Pioneer Museum Complex in Fredericksburg, the LBJ Historical Park with his boyhood home in Johnson City, the LBJ Library and Texas State History Museum in Austin, and the Meadows Center in San Marcos for a ride in a glass-bottom boat. In San Antonio, we will give you a Super Pass so that you can enjoy old town and the Riverwalk at your own pace. The Super Pass gives you two days of trolley and double decker bus rides, one boat cruise on the river, and entrance into the Battle For Texas, a sensory experience like no other that tells the real story of the Alamo. There are plenty of other attractions to entice you (on your own) in and around the Paseo del Rio as we celebrate Christmas in Texas!
