Arizona White Mountains Historic Tour

The Arizona White Mountains have some of the prettiest vistas in the state. To get there, we traverse a portion of the Mogollon Rim and climb more than 2000’ before we top out on top of the rim. (Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife!) Our home base for the trip is Show Low, but we will also be visiting some of the surrounding towns. A highlight of the trip will be a visit to the X Diamond Ranch, where owner, Wink Crigler will give us a private history lesson. Afterwards we will make the drive into Greer, where no visit is complete without stopping for a meal at the historic Molly Butler’s Lodge. (Molly Butler was Wink’s grandmother.) There will be a couple of surprises, but we will have time to visit Pinedora Farm, the Show Low Museum, the Navajo county Historical Society, Casa Malpais Museum & the Petrified forest. (Not necessarily in that order.) This trip will be a great way to see other portions of the state and learn a little bit more history of this beautiful place we all call home.
