Tubac Festival of the Arts & Southern Arizona
In its 59th year, the Tubac Festival of the Arts brings artisans, musicians, and crafters from over the world to southern Arizona. We will be visiting the festival on the first day so the selection of wares will be at its peak. Along with the Festival, we will visit the Pima Air & Space Museum with over 300 historical aircraft, including President Kennedy’s Air Force One. There we will take a guided outdoor tram tour of the 2,600 acre bone yard of mothballed planes, and enjoy lunch at the Flight Grill. We will also spend time at the historic Mission San Xavier del Bac (often called the White Dove of the Desert) and Mission San José de Tumacacori. The missions are part of Arizona’s earliest history, established by Father Junipero Kino in 1691.
